Taste true liquid luxury in this decadent and nuanced Belgian-style quad. Pear and apricot aromas blend with caramel, fruit and spice flavors in the full-bodied amber ale.

Warming alcohol notes mix with a lot of fruity fermentation profile on the nose. Big and bold, this beer is a boozy, savory treat. Rich caramel, clove, banana warming.

Bottle, shared for jonas’ 7500th rating. Hazy amber color with small white head. Aroma is fruit esters, caramel, raisins, musty. Taste is raisins, musty, toffee. Medium carbonation, warming finish. Well-made, but somehow these rather pale beers above 10% are not for me.

Bottle from the source, cellared for about six years, although the "bottled on" date is blank. Chillhazy amber color, big fluffy very light tan head. Aroma has caramel candy, vanilla, light spice. Taste is lightly peppery sweet caramel and brown bread. Silky smooth mouthfeel with little hint of booze. Delicious.

Bottle. Over-ripe orange/apricot, caramel malt, grass/fresh hay, and alcohol aroma. Cloudy amber with small head. Very sweet apricot, orange, yeast, caramel malt, and mildly bitter herbal hay flavor. Moderately strong alcohol finish. A pleasant sipper.

Bottled a year ago. Lovely clear golden amber with an off white head that’s soon a coat (first glass) in a Westmalle chalice, but lasts OK in a La Chouffe tulip. Aroma of brioche dough, grapey booze, herbs, oranges. white pepper. Not that heavy for 12%. Low carbonation. Taste is less refined than the aroma, but similar: brioche dough, some dried fruit and citrus peel. Some bitterness and doesn’t turn towards dry as much as you’d expect, but then it’s not quite as sweet as expected either. Good.
