Fra flaske på Cardinaltreff okt-13: karamell og humle er førsteinntrykket. Et kompetent brygg som smaker godt men helt uten særpreg. Midtfyn kan mye bedre enn dette.

Flaske: Hazy, amber coloured, stable small white head, sweetish bready to toasty nose, yeast, sweet dried fruits and traces of herbal hops underneath; moderate to robust bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; lingering hoppy and caramelly finish. Not really bad, but too grain-accented…

Bottle: Poured an hazy deep amber color ale with a relatively large foamy head with good retention and some very good lacing. Aroma consists of caramel malt with light sweet undertones with some light citrus and bitter hops notes. Taste is also dominated by lightly sweet caramelized malt backbone with some light citrus and bitter notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Enjoyable beer that is unfortunately not that close to style.

500ml bottle. Clear amber colour with average, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy and dusty malty aroma with a touch of honey. Taste is grainy, minimally sweet pale malty, hints of toasted malt, an unspecific tart fruity touch, minimally grassy, herbal hoppy overtones. Not bad, balanced in a way, flavours under tension contrariwise.

0.5l bottle. Pours a hazy chestnut-body with a small bubbly beige head. Beautiful aroma! Sweet roasted caramel, toffee, dark- almost chocolate malts, and a hint of butter and rhubarb. Aroma actually reminds me a bit of the snickers chocolate-caramel. Body is medium, texture is slightly creamy and carbonation is medium. Tastes toffee, malty, some more caramel and has a near creamy medium bitterness. Some nutty and caramel notes in the finish and a low to medium bitter aftertaste. This was actually quite good and by far the best bitter I've ever tasted.
