Die Hohenthanner Schlossbrauerei braut einmal im Jahr ein Grünhopfen-Pils nach überlieferter Brautradition.
Das Craft-Bier aus unserer niederbayerischen Traditionsbrauerei wird gleich nach der Hopfenernte aus frischen Hopfendolden gebraut. Dabei verwenden wir eine besondere Hopfensorte, die Ursorte Hallertauer Mittelfrüh. Während der Brau- und Reifephase werden insgesamt vier Hopfengaben beigefügt. Drei während des Brauvorgangs und eine während der Lagerung. Das verleiht unserem Grünhopfen-Pils die ganz besondere Hopfennote.

Appearance: Misted pale gold with a nice white head. Aroma: A lot of hop delivering lemon, herbs, floral hints. Cracker malt. Taste: Dry. Light to medium bitter. Same profile. Mouth feel: Medium plus body, average carbonation. Overall: Nice stuff.

330ml Bottle - Golden yellow with a white head. Tea, citrus and some herbal notes in the aroma. Grassy and relatively dry taste with hop resins, tea, citrus and herbs standing out.

Hohenthanner Schloßbrauerei Grünhopfen, ein Hallertauer Craftbier, Fläschchen von Ambrosetti, Berlin. - Goldgelb, schwach trüb. - In der Nase frischer, sehr angenehm zitroniger Hopfen, feines Zitronenöl, wenig herb, feine Malzsüße, Zwieback. - Antrunk frisch und knackig aber wenig herb zitronig hopfig (Mandarina Bavaria). Mildes helles Malz, feine Restsüße, Vanille. Leicht ranzig. Milder rezent, schlank, leicht trocken. Im Abgang aromatisch grasige, dennoch etwas zu blasse Bittere. - Schönes Kellerpils, Craftbier-artig gehopft aber eher lieblich als Pilsner-typisch herb. (8.11.2020.)

330 ml bottle. Unclear golden, foamy head. Herbal hops, citrus, grass, floral notes. Hoppy bitterness. Full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry bitter finish. Good!

Bottle picked up from Biervana, München and consumed at home Attenkirchen, Sunday 27th October 2019 cooking outside in the woodoven and listening to 6Music. Pours gold with a slight haze, good pilsner bite but the hoppiness is there and likely more pronounced than on the standard version. Enjoying this, refreshing, good beer, Loz is a fan of this also.
