Die Hohenthanner Schlossbrauerei braut einmal im Jahr ein Grünhopfen-Pils nach überlieferter Brautradition.
Das Craft-Bier aus unserer niederbayerischen Traditionsbrauerei wird gleich nach der Hopfenernte aus frischen Hopfendolden gebraut. Dabei verwenden wir eine besondere Hopfensorte, die Ursorte Hallertauer Mittelfrüh. Während der Brau- und Reifephase werden insgesamt vier Hopfengaben beigefügt. Drei während des Brauvorgangs und eine während der Lagerung. Das verleiht unserem Grünhopfen-Pils die ganz besondere Hopfennote.

330ml bottle. Hazy, yellow-ish, bright golden colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Fruity, slightly grassy, hoppy aroma, hints of apricot and peach. Taste is sweet-ish pale malty, fruity hoppy, hints of apricot, a touch of mandarine, low bitterness. Too sweet for me, would have expexted more grassy- and bitterness.

Bottle, 2017. Hazy yellow-golden color with white head. Aroma is grassy wet hops, citrusy, herbal, tangerines. Taste is biscuity malts, also grains, grassy hopspice with citrus and Mandarina flavours, a bit buttery, and with a resinous wet hop finish. Slick mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Good! 8-3-7-4-15Bottle, 2018. Better, more balanced, beautiful aroma! 8-4-7-4-16

Clear golden with little white head. Aroma is fine hops, citrus, smooth herbs, something in the middle of cake dough and banana. Taste is fresh hoppy sourness with bitter herbs and some alcohol. Medium smooth but highly drinkable. Not bad. The alcoholic touch prevented it from being much better.

Rerate from bottle Chill haze golden. Nice ipaish hop notes, not overly wet and leafy. Medium light bright body. Light hay, fruit, great fresh hop finish. 6 2 6 2 11 Bottle at BKL. Leafy aroma. Milky yellow, white lace. Medium light body, mellow. Light grainy malt, quick finish. Could be more exiting.

Bottled, thanks beerhunter111! Cloudy bright golden, rich, firm head. Grassy, mildly floral nose with notes of bread. Dry with light body and crisp, rounded mouthfeel. Bready and grassy, long bitter finish. Harmonious and moreish. Really good!

33cl bottle. Pours clear pale golden colour with a huge most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of mild grassy bitter hops, pale malt, medium bitterness. Taste of grassy bitter hops, floral bitterness, pale malt, okay!

0.33 l bottle from ’CraftBeer-Dealer.com’, best before March 2017. Pale, golden yellow with a medium large, very dense, stable, white head. Fruity-grassy, slightly herbal aroma of lemon peel, pineapple, fresh grass and a touch of ginger. Slightly bitter, quite grassy, moderately fruity and slightly herbal taste of fresh grass, some sweetish grains, some lemon peel and a touch of pineapple, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-dry and a bit spicy finish. Thin to medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice, above-average Pilsener, could be even hoppier.

Bottle 330ml. @ home. [ As Hohenthanner Schlossbrauerei Grünhopfen Pils ].Unclear medium orange yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, moderate hoppy, flowers, grass, fruity hops, green hops. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate to light heavy bitter with a long duration, flowers, fruity, grass, hoppy, sweet - fruity malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160101]
