This wonderful rich stout is made with freshly roasted Columbian coffee beans from our friends Mozzo in Southampton.
Kick-start pours an opaque black and the aroma is dark roasted malts with a big kick of coffee/espresso.
The taste leads with full-bodied dark roasted coffee upfront and oats inject a nice smooth texture to finish.
Previously called Radicale Oat and Coffee Stout.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell, London, 23 May 2018) Black colour with brief, foamy head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, cacao and black rye bread. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, chocolate, black rye bread, some liquorice and a balanced roasty bitterness. Medium body, mainly dry. Tasty and well balanced stout. Nice one.

Keg at Craft Beer Helsinki. Black with beige head. Bready coffee aroma. Mid dry with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Espresso and toast. Mid bitter finish. Really highlighting the coffee flavoura, without getting one dimensional.

Bottled. Almost pitch black body, tinged with amber/brown with a small, thick tan head. The aroma is coffee, sweetish, literally run over by coffee, edged by a fruity trace (vaaaague banana). Taste... soft, mostly coffee, slightly meaty touches, but only vague thankfully, more of a mild fruitiness brought on by the malts more than anything. Quite soft. Bitterish - coffee rather than hops - note in the otherwise soft finish. The more I drink it, the more I like it, though the coffee feels slightly washed out. Dunno. Let's just call it a good beer, shall we.
