This wonderful rich stout is made with freshly roasted Columbian coffee beans from our friends Mozzo in Southampton.
Kick-start pours an opaque black and the aroma is dark roasted malts with a big kick of coffee/espresso.
The taste leads with full-bodied dark roasted coffee upfront and oats inject a nice smooth texture to finish.

Bottle @ Johns. Pours very dark brown with a creamy tan head, light lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, dark chocolate, coffee, light vegetables. Flavor is light sour, light bitter, malt, caramel, coffee, veggies, wood, little chocolate. Thin to medium body, lively carbonation, light sourish finish. 181117

Bottle @ Højbjerg tasting. Huge head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich coffee, hops, roast malt, chocolate and hops. Long coffee finish.

Keg at CBC Clerkenwell during Cadden's last stand. Pours dark brown with a creamy, tan head. Lots of coffee in this one, with nice accents of smooth cocoa. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Good balance in the finish, more mocha character, mellow bitterness. Nice beer.

Keg at Craft Clerko. It pours near black with a small beige head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, big coffee vibe, oily, toasted nut, coffee cake, earthy, spice and ash. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, charred wood, big coffee vibes, earthy, wood, black tea, tannin, cake, charred wood and cacao with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Decent coffee action.

Half pint at CBC Islington, pours a muddy cola brown/black with a thick ring of khaki head. Nose has whats offered, coffee grounds, toasted bread, malt, a little smoke. Flavor is similar, sweet with malt and oats and bread, coffee, a little smoke too. Finishes dry with some roasty bitterness.
