330ml bottle. Jet black colour with small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, dark beige to tan head. Roasty, dark and caramel malty aroma with BA support, notes of dark caramel, burnt caramel, oak, vanilla, some chocolate, treacle, spicy overtones with a touch close to marmite. Taste is roasty dark malty, caramel malty, slightly dry, oaky, notes of treacle, dark caramel, burnt caramel, some chocolate, a touch of vanilla, weak, marmite-like spiciness again; fresh woody, oaky dry- and tartness holds the sweetness at bay, well hidden alcohol. Oily to viscous texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, soft carbonation. Neither overly rich nor complex, but well balanced, harmonious, well adjusted BA support - good.

Aus der Flasche (Vintage 2015 / bbe 2029-12-10) im 2017-12 getrunken. Hier dominiert klar der Bourbon Barrel Einfluss. Doch das fast schon zu stark. Aber egal lecker ist es trotzdem.

Black with little brown head. Aroma is vanilla, chocolate, bourbon. Taste is alcoholic not too sweet, spicy lots of molasses, quite some bitter syrup. Full bodied. Not too harsh, nor too shy. Not too sweet nor too bitter. In other words perfectly balanced.

Bottle sample. Darkest brown. Bourbon, vanilla, tobacco aroma. Medium, mellow very chewy body. Full on, but very balanced bourbon notes on chocolate, roast and chocolate. Works extremely well.

Sample from bottle, many thanks anstei! Darkest brown color with beige head. Aroma is thick vanilla, caramel, bourbon, chocolate, super boubony, without making the mistakes so many other German BBA beers make. Taste is chocolate, vanilla, caramel, despite the intensity not too sweet. Thick mouthfeel with low carbonation. Awesome, indeed the best of the bunch.

Clear dark brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark malt, alcohol - bourbon - vanilla. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, bourbon, wood, dark malt, chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. Bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker. Pours black. Aroma is bourbon, barrel, wood, but not so much vanilla. Body is heavy and strong, boozy and sweet, low carbonation. Balanced and flavourful and pleasant to drink. Good!

Bottle, 11%. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, little bourbon and caramel. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, caramel, little bourbon, little vanilla, sweet, liquorice, little coconut, little salt liquorice and warming.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Black with a small brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, light wood and bourbon. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. Soft and oily. 290917

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice creamy head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich roast malt, bourbon, nuts, caramel, hops, chocolate, licorice, vanilla and has a nice sweet bourbon finish.
