Istrian reinterpretation of Indian Pale Ale. This IPA doesn’t focus only on its various hops and dry hopping (Amarillo, East Kent Goldings, Chinook) but also on the barley malt (3 types of characteristic malt). The result is a TORNADO of flavour.

Bottle picked up from a supermarket in Croatia and consumed at home, Wednesday 17th September 2025, cooking Provençal Stuffed Courgettes. Pours dirty almost muddy brown with an off white head, unclear. However tastes very nice, good bitterness from the off, a pithy edgy lemony citrus thrust but there's enough maltiness to keep a good balance. Really like this.

Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso viene attratto dalla fruttato. La finezza olfattiva è normale e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il manto birroso superiore è caratterizzato da una schiuma dalla buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine, con carbonazione abbondante. Il liquido appare nuvoloso. Il colore è ambrato. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è pronunciato. La forza gustativa è normale e la permanenza è sufficiente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. L'aroma in bocca porta i segni di miele, crosta di pane, frutta secca, agrumi, pompelmo e mandarino.

Karmelowe, żywiczne, łodygowe, lekko kwaskowe. Barwa brunatna, mętne, piana bardzo trwała, pięknie oblepia szkło. Goryczka zaznaczona, łodygowa, jakby trochę palona, nie przyjemna. Piwo sprawia wrażenie utlenionego. Nie warto

Optisch sehr trüb und dunkel bernsteinfarben. Die weiße, kräftig aufschäumende Krone wandelt sich von einer feinporigen zu einer mittel- und grobporigen Konsistenz. Diese ist flaumig-stabil und langlebig. Die Duftaromatik zeigt sich leicht karamellig malzig, ohne dabei wirklich süß zu sein. Zarte Fruchtnoten von Steinobst, Weintraube, Mandarine und Ananas mischen sich dazu. Der Antrunk kommt feinrezent, aufschäumend und aromatisch röstig-fruchtig-herb. Am Gaumen karamellig bis röstig malzig. Zarte reiffruchtige Noten halten sich dabei eher im Hintergrund. Wesentlich kräftiger präsentiert sich eine grasig-grüne Hopfenherbe. Das Zusammenspiel der Aromen ist dabei ziemlich gut. Etwas störend empfinde ich die aufschäumende Rezenz, die letztendlich auch das Mundgefühl und die Süffigkeit ein wenig beeinträchtigen. So wirkt das alles eher mittelmäßig und unausgereift - wenn auch nicht schlecht. Im Nachtrunk klingen die Malznoten rasch aus und eine kräftige grasige Herbe stellt sich ein. Mein Fazit: Ich hätte mir etwas mehr erwartet.

Bottle 33 cl, 6,1% abv. Amber colour, hazy. Aroma: sweet, citrus, fruity, plum, slightly sour yeasts. Malty taste, dense, light fruitiness, a little grapefruit, yeast, medium hop bitterness, moderate brew.

Near amber and cloudy with a good 2cm head. Nice nose, floral, apricot, orange, a touch of banana. Mouth is ok, grassy hops up front, malt, crispy fruity bitterness in the middle and lingering but very dry and slightly puckering. Good!
