Dark brown colour, almost completely opaque. Beige head. Aroma has roasted malt, some berries typical to Danish ales, chocolate, vanilla and cocoa. Flavour is sweet with burned malt and cocoa. Too roasted, but decent anyway.

Bottle, at Ølfestival 2011. A black body is topped by a small, beige head. The aroma is roasted, with some licorice and a faint vegetal hint. Sweet, roasted flavor, dry and full-bodied on the palate. Dry and roasted finish too. A nice beer, that’s for sure, but it lacks big time on complexity. Or maybe it was too subtle to be enjoyed at a festival, I don’t know, but I’d like to have the chance to find out. 110527
