50 cl bottle. Rated on 16.11.2010
Dark brown colour, almost completely opaque. Beige head. Aroma has roasted malt, some berries typical to Danish ales, chocolate, vanilla and cocoa. Flavour is sweet with burned malt and cocoa. Too roasted, but decent anyway.

9/12/11/13/12/12

Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. It pours a more or less black body, a tan head sits on top. The aroma has something reminiscent of beefstock, as well as roasted malts, caramel and a smoke-like touch. Salty licorice, roasted malts tending towards coffee, chocolate and dried fruits in the flavor. Full-bodied and slightly warming, finishing with a coffee-like bitterness. A nice beer indeed, but I would like the flavors more integrated. 091120

Bottled. A pitch blac beer with a hube bubbly brown head. The aroma has strong notes of roasted malt and tar as well as notes of sweet malt and wood. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt as well as medium notes of burnt malt, sweet malt, and soy sauce as well as light notes of wood and alcohol, leading to a dry roasted and woody finish. Nice one.

Bottle. Big hop aroma, grass pine peach, coffee in the background. Black, lacing brown head. Smooth coffee entry, dark sugar residual sweetness. Good dry hop wallop to balance and round off. Dry mouthfeel, subtly carbonated. Leaves a light charcoal note in the back of the throat.
