Mørkt, nesten sort farge. Tynn ring av brunt skum rundt kanten. Lukt av krydder, kaffe og lakris. God sittende smak av lakris og kaffe.

Draught (2011)@CPH BF 2011. Black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is roast, toffee, liquorice, some tar and mild resiny notes in a nice mix. Flavour is liquorice, toffee, mild roast, some spruce, anise and mild coffee. Not that much Baltic Porterlike in the flavour... Still a nice beer though.

0.5l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This is a deep dark brown one with a small bubbly and light sidesticking beige top. It's quite hoppy on the aroma this Pony! Confetti chocolate, some roasted malts, a good sweetness and some yogurt. Smells not bad at all. Quite average on the carbonation with small prickling bubbles, and the mouthfeel is light oily. Oh, quite interesting flavors here. Chocolate, roasted - almost burned malty flavors and licorice. It's quite mouthdrying, but it's not to disturbing. Dark caramel sweet honey notes in the dry almost woody finish. Quite nice this. Has it been barreled on something? 06.02.2013

Bottle from 2011 shared with (and great courtasy of) the Bergen Tasting Crew. Has a pretty clear deep reddish brown colour with a small beige head. Great aroma of leather, dried fruit, BBQ-sauce and lots of oak. The flavour follows up with some licorice and still a good dose of oak. The mouth feel is slick, and has a medium bitterness. A nice ale with a lot of oak.

Flaske på Cardinaltreff jan-13: fint sjokoladebrunt skum, men kortvarig. Aroma og smak av grunnsmøring for treski, tjære og hamp. For lite røkt iflg Gunnar. Ka farsken, likte den ikke.

30cl from tap at Beer Palace, Oslo. Almost pitch black, but a reddish hue against the light. Beige head. Roasty aroma with chocolate, caramel, dark fruits and hints of alcohol and coffee. Medium body. Sweet and medium roasty with a balanced bitterness. Fairly long aftertaste with some bitterness.
