Inspired by the mysterious creature that dwells in the deepest Arctic seas, Narwhal Imperial Stout is midnight black and bold-with notes of baker's cocoa and dark roasted coffee. This massive imperial stout is incredibly complex and explores the darkest depths of malt flavor.

Bottle pour to snifter. Another good value from Sierra Nevada and a very good tasting beer, but it just doesn’t measure up to the stiff competition in the Imperial Stout style (IMHO). It is somewhat like what the SNPA is in the IPA style--a very good beer that I will drink anytime, but only if something better is not available.

Brown-black pour with a medium thin beige head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Small patches of lace. Roast malt, dark chocolate and coffee in the nose. Medium to full body with flavors of burnt malt, bittersweet chocolate and black coffee. The finish is roasty with a malty aftertaste. Pretty good beer all around.
