Im Glas findet sich ein extrem hellgelbes und leicht trübes Bier wieder. Eine sehr aktive Perlage bahnt sich ihren Weg nach oben und nährt eine weiße, mittelporige, stabile und sehr gut haltbare Schaumkrone. In der Nase aromatisch hopfig, leicht grasig etwas zitrusartig und etwas holzig. Dem schlanken, spritzigen und leicht zitrusartigen Antrunk folgt ein ebenso schlanker und sehr hopfenbetonter Mittelteil. Das angenehme dabei ist die Tatsache, dass sich trotz der guten Hopfung auch noch schöne Malzaromen erschmecken lassen. Es paaren sich also leichte Malznoten mit sehr deutlichen, teils fruchtigen, teils intensiv herben Hopfennoten. Eine gute Süffigkeit ist hier auf jeden Fall gegeben, zumal die ganze Sache durchwegs ganz harmonisch wirkt. Im Abgang verfliegen die Malznoten rasch und sofort geben sich die Hopfenaromen ein Stelldichein. Dieses Lechweg Bier ist eines Pils definitiv würdig! Sehr selten, dass man in Österreich, aber auch im angrenzenden süddeutschen Raum so gut gehopfte Biere findet.

Ein Bier, das für die Wanderer des Lechwegs gebraut wurde. Ich trinke es nicht am Lechweg, aber doch auf einer Wanderung -auch wenn diese nur von meiner Arbeit zum Bahnhof Schwechat führt. Die kurze (aber nicht Stubbi-) 0,33l-Spezialflasche liegt gut in der Hand und man kann es wirklich auch im Gehen trinken. Es ist ein süffiges Helles, das zwar nicht mit besonderen Aromen aufwartet, aber einfach gemütlich zu trinken ist.

On tap at outdoor market near the river, Innsbruck, Austria, Saturday 28th September 2019. Pours very pale silvery/gold with a white head. Nicely bitter, dry and minerally. Jolly pleasant.

Misty straw yellow. Large white frothy head. Aroma: malts, spicy hop, some minerals. Light to medium body. Taste: cereals, pronounced spicy hop, a touch of nice keller-like yeast. Medium bitterness. Rustic in a lovely way. Actually good.

Yellow, moderate hazy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, white head.
Aroma of grains, hay, flowers, grass, bread, some herbs.
Tastes pretty similar, with subtle honey.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes bitter, medium dry, floral, herbal, grainy, a bit hayish, subtly citric.

Nice, solid style example. Drinks smooth and balanced, with nice grainy notes throughout and enough dryness. Among the better Pilseners from Austria.

Pours a light cloudy golden color. Aroma and taste are sweet malt, grass, hay and hops.

Tap at Tribaun. Hazy yellow color with white head. Aroma is herbal, earthy, herbal. Taste is fruity, pale malts, a bit earthy. Dry finish. Quite a crisp finish. 0,33l from tap at Tribaun, Innsbruck. light yellow quite hazy colour, small white head. smells lightly citric, tobacco, light grainy. ok smell but not much going on. light body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes citric, bready, tobacco, lightly fruity. finishes lightly dry and lightly bitter with citric notes and tobacco. overall decent beer but not a lot going on taste wise. just ok.
