500 ml bottle, as Randers Midtnight Emperor, from Skjold Burne Hjørring. ABV is 10.1%. Black colour, large beige head. Nice aroma of roast malts and piney hops. Also notes of coffee and dark chocolate, hints of woodwork. Distinctly roasty flavour with notes of strong coffee, dark bitter chocolate, liquorice, pine needles and resin, quite bitter.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 03.2021) im 2019-06 getrunken. Dieses schwarze IPA mit einer schönen feinporigen, beigen Schaumkrone hat eine schöne Aromakombination aus Citrusfrüchten, Getreide, deutlicher Hopfenbitterkeit und schokoladigen Röstaromen. Der hohe Alkoholgehalt ist gut eingebunden und bringt ein schönes volles Aroma ohne dominant zu werden. Lecker!

Tap@Ølfestival København 2018, Copenhagen - fuzzy dark brown to black coloured pour with a beige head. Roasted malty and hoppy, tropical fruits, prominent hoppy, grapefruit, pine needles, some caramel, cocoa, roasted hoppy finish.

Bottle, 10.1%. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, hops, liquorice and grapefruit. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, caramel, hops, grapefruit, sweet, warming, liquorice and medium bitter.

Draught @ Fairbar. Pours very dark brown with an offwhite head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, licorice, light fruit, pine. Flavor is sweet, light bitter, roast malt, caramel, licorice, dark fruit, piney, alcohol. Medium to full body, soft to average carbonation, sweet and light bitter finish with light warming alcohol. 200618

[ As Randers Midnight Emperor ].Clear dark red brown colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, roasted, sweet malt, moderate hoppy, pine, frutiy hops, wood. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, licorice - wood, dark malt - roasted, dark malt, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. From tap. Pours dsrk brown to black, small and brown head. Aroma is roasted dark malt and slight hops fruity. Sweet, toasted, light hoppy. Bitter and roasted. Dry and toasted malty, slight hops fruity to bitter finish.
