Bottle @ Rene’s house, courtesy of camons. Thanks for your generosity, Rene! Deep brown/black appearance with a brown head. Very roasty, a touch smoky, chocolate malty, anise, somewhat piney, a little vanilla aroma. Deep chocolate, anise, slightly charred, very lightly boozy, a touch chewy, herbal, mild piney hoppy flavor. Very nice brew. Thanks for sharing, Rene!

Draught at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Thick, near black, no head. Treacle aroma. Massively sweet withthick mouthfeel. Lots of toffee and molasses, decaying into treacle and then crude oil. Much too sweet.

Draft. A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma has strong notes of roasted malt as well as medium notes of soy sauce and light notes of coffee. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt as well as medium notes of chocolate and soy sauce, as well as lighter notes of coffee and grain, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Fast disappearing dark brown-greige head; black beer. Chocolate and moccha, "some" hops obvious. Very roasted/ burnt impression. Sweet carbonated coffee, wih black chocolate. Other grains (oat?) also, oatmeal cakes - talk about beer geek breakfast. Hops less in the flavour than in the aroma; taste is surprisingly sweet, which the nose did not suggest. Very well bodied, and very well-carbonated. Viscous, oily. Attempt at R.I.S., turning out quite different - but not inferior. Big thanks to fonefan!
