Fat @ Zum Franziskaner.

- Helles Kupferrot, blank. - In der Nase mattes karamelliges Malz, zarte limonadig-fruchtige Süße, blasse Hopfung, schwach muffig. - Antrunk satt toastmalzig doch etwas stumpf, fein butterig und dezent malzsüß; zart angebrannt. Matte herbale Hopfung, die erst beim Wärmerwerden milde hopfenwürzige Aromen und etwas Orangenschale preisgibt. Milder rezent, vollmundig, glatt. Im Abgang milde fränkische Hopfenherbe. - Etwas gehemmtes, unrundes Festbier, immerhin ausgesprochen individuell. (15.4.2021.)

Amber with little white head. Aroma is juicy malt, some fruchtgummi, slight hay and wood. Taste is slightly sweet juicy malt with some noble hop bitterness. Not exactly smooth and a wood malt hinge while swallowing. Ok I guess.

(bottle) Clear, amber colour with a loose mid-sized off-white foamy head. Slightly buttery and delicately toasted malty aroma with notes of biscuits and caramel, backed by a whiff of herbal hops and barnyard. Moderately bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Slightly grainy and delicately biscuity malty base with hints of caramel on a herbal hoppy background, the latter getting stronger towards the rounded bitter-sweet finish with a lasting aftertaste mixed of biscuits, caramel and herbal hoppy spice. Quite a rural and tasty brew. 27.XII.16
