Napoleon Complex is a small-statured pale ale with a larger-than-life attitude. Ignoring the industry standard of diminutive hop presence and mild manner, this pale ale will have most IPA’s contemplating their inadequacy. Little beer, big flavor, even bigger ego.

Pours gold into a shaker. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving spider lacing to coat surface. Tropical fruit aromas. Dry with sweet mango upfront turning to dry pith and back to mild marshmallow in the lasting finish.

Draft @ Ale House, Amesbury, MA. Slightly hazy golden color, some lasting head. Aroma is light citrus and maybe fruit. Flavor is a milled grain base, hints of honey. Hop profile is ok: Citrus dominate with hints of pine. Lighter body / mouthfeel.
No issues and I like this brewery a lot but this is about as standard as it gets overall.

12 ounce bottle exactly 5 weeks old. Rebranded Hoppy pale ale and kicked up to 5.2%abv. A: Poured an inch of bubbles atop a a pale orange tinted gold in my tulip. Great retention with slow bubbles and patchy lace. S: Sweet grapefruit and light pith with a hint of bread. T: Dry pine upfront quickly followed by bitter grapefruit flesh then pith. M: Thin body with a fairly strong bubble wash. Finishes clean and bone dry. Bracing and refreshing. O: The beer itself is extremely good. Expensive of course but... Easy recommendation.

A golden ipa with a thin white head. In aroma, nice fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, light citrus pulp, light mint, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, white grapefruit pulp, light honey notes, nice and perfumy. On tap at Common Market, Commonwealth Ave, CLT.

Draft at Wicked Weed. Poured a light golden yellow color wiht a small white head. Aroma was a blast of hops, lots of resin in this one. Lots of hop with a light malt backing. Pretty tasty session-style beer.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours a clear golden color with a medium thick bone white head that recedes gradually. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, citrus and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short citrusy hops aftertaste. Above average overall.
