12 oz bottle thanks to Clarkvv! Rome is raisin, toffee and mild sugar. Flavor is caramelized malt with a lot of dark fruit. Raisin, prune, again caramelize sugar. Not super sweet, but still sweet, never the less.

Clear ruby-auburn. Dark. Clear. Small, light-tan head to ring quickly.
Rich malt with good acidity. A bit of roast, but tons of burnt caramel, light vanilla. Not boozey. Bit of banana and circus peanut from the yeast.
Rich, sweet, some light roast, lots of circus peanut. Not elegant, to say the very least. But it's not thin, at least. There is malt texture here. Lingering pepper and acidity. I don't hate it, even if I don't respect it.

Donkerbruin tot zwart bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is krachtig en zoet met iets van koffie, wat karamel en wat vanille en een lichte rooksmaak, waarbij de alcohol duidelijk naar boven komt.

Dunkelbraune Farbe mit beiger Schaumkrone. Malziger, röstmalziger, alkoholischer Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, röstmalzig mit trockenen Früchten und Karamell. Hohe Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, voller Körper mit sanfter Kohlensäure.

Bottle from House Of Trembling Madness. Black body with ruby highlights and a short-lived beige head. Fine carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of cherry liqueur and dark chocolate. Flavour of oak, prune and a hint of smoked malt. Medium to full body with a slick, oily mouthfeel. Light fizz. Rich and boozy. It tastes stronger than its 14% ABV, almost like a liqueur.

Appearance: Foggy deep brown with a small tan head of low retention. Aroma: Rich esters delivering prune, dried fig & date, distant nail polish. Toast, treacle. Massively vinous. Slightly smoked. Taste: Medium sweet, light to medium bitter. Lots of dark malts. Toasted, slightly roasted. Prunes, dried figs & dates, Treacle. Pretty vinous. Brandy. Balancing hop. Mouth feel: Full body, soft to average carbonation. Summary: Big power.
