A dark brown beer, a head is small and beige. Aroma is rich, dried fruits, apricot, some raisins, perries, toffee and caramel, vanilla, some strenght of alcohol. Taste has strong and sweet maltyness, sweetness of caramel, some balancing notes of roastiness, some fruitness, perries, not alcohol. Full bodied, even the strong sweetness, basickly not stickyness. Very sweet, but still enjoyable, because of complexicity. I enjoy these different variations, maybe this is the one of the best.

Fles 33cl thuis. Zoet, sojasaus, melasse, zacht, boozy, krachtig, gedroogd fruit, pruim, zwarte bes, caramel, tonen van bourbon. (1-7-2022).

Bottle picked up from Beer Republic webshop, Nr Breda Netherlands and consumed at home Thursday 3rd March 2022, watching Peaky Blinders 1st series episode 4 or 5 in bed. We had large Pasta filled with Cream Cheese and Salmon. Pours dark brown in colour, slim fast disappearing head. Malty and syrup laden aroma. Flavour is instantly a little bit too sweet, but considering the abv is 14% the booziness is very well hidden. A little spicy touch, dark brown molasses, it's okay but a tad one dimensional for me and considering that it was a top 50 for it's style and one that I had been seeking out, I am a little bit disappointed.

Bottle, 14%. Pungent malt syrup aroma, heavy dark bread notes. Dark brown colour, seems clear. Very small head. The flavour is extremely sweet with a decent alcohol bitterness. Spicy malt notes, brown sugar and white sugar en masse. Very long sugary aftertaste with a little peppery alcohol that warms the nose. Tastes all right, but it is too sweet for me.

2014 bottle. Dark brown, flat. Nose is chocolate, nutty caramel, treacle. Tangy flavor, lmeon and orange, spicy, caramel. Oxidized a bit. Somewhat roasty.
