Part of the Wild Weather Ales - 'Damn Dead Lactose Sour' series. A light bodied and refreshing Apricot sour that strikes a nice balance between tart and sweet.

On keg at the Portobello Tap. Appearance - golden and bright. Thin off white lacing. Nose - apricot with edge of sour but not huge. Taste - again apricot and edge of sour. This time lactose creaminess balances it off. Palate - tangy and medium bodied. Creamy and tangy. Dry tangy finish. Overall - very nice.

Keg at the Weather Station, Reading. Clear gold with a barely-there white head. Tastes of peach melba sweets dissolved in white wine. The tartness is limited, but there's enough to still make this refreshing. In fact, despite being what I'd term an entry-level sour, this is very drinkable, very tasty and very, very enjoyable. Nice one!

[On tap at the Greyfriar, Reading.] A slightly hazy straw coloured pour with a ring of white head; fresh apricot aroma; tart apricot taste with a perfumed aftertaste; then a mellower fruity finish. Rather good.

Keg at the Merchant, CW, 20/11/19. Very light haze on a golden blonde pour with a decent off white cap. Nose is apricot, peach yoghurt, sweet malts, grass. Taste comprises floral notes, apricot jam, perfume, mellow citric zest. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with the most mellow of sour edges. Ok stuff ... gets the apricot across but a little one trick and too perfumed!

The Merchant. Keg. Light haze on this gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and crispy. Mildly tart apricot, a bit perfumey. Crisp finish. Quite drinkable.
