0,33 l bottle. Pale golden an hazy in the glass, one finger white head. Sweet caramell and little bit grassy on the nose. Taste is grassy, some caramell and pale malt, low bitterness, some hopy elements. Easy to drink medicore stuff.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, pale golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Strawy and slightly doughy malty nose with cautious grainy notes and mildly grassy hops in the background. Moderately bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a medium carbonation. Doughy and strawy malt character with drying grassy hops and subtle citric notes towards the dry and moderately hop bitter finish. Lacks balance and character. 09.VII.17

Bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker. Pours clear pale yellow with a medium head. Aroma is sulphuric, pale malts, straw. Body is light, rather bitter and astringent, with some citrus and butter notes. Soft sweetness, low carbonation, almost oily texture. Bitter palate, rather dry. Not my favourite.

33cl bottle from Rewe. Only hints of cloudiness in the glass, very light golden. The beer starts fresh and quite bitter for a Bitburger. Hints of grain, hints of sweetness. Nice round grainy body, refreshing with a smooth round and slightly bitter Aftertaste. Nice Pils, but not something unfiltered.

Fläschchen (@ local Trinkschlecht): Pale golden to golden, hazy, small and stable white head; mild to moderate dryish-grainy nose with a mild herbal-grassy bitterness in the background, supported by a molecular yeasty fruitiness; dryish bitter flavour, light bodied, both tart a n d soft; dry grassy-bitter finish with some malty and fruity-yeasty spots. Ceterum censeo: Adding (or leaving) some yeast does not convert a mass-market german Pils into a nice drink...

0.33 l bottle from local ’REWE’, best before October 2017. Minimally hazy, golden yellow with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, moderately grassy-spicy aroma of straw, grains and hints of citrus. Slightly sweetish, moderately bitter, quite grassy-spicy taste of straw, grains and some citrus, followed by a short, medium bitter, quite grassy-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Quite okay.

04-05-17 // from the 0,33l bottle. The "unfiltered" version, not really that much difference. Grainy malty with a great pilsner bitterness. Solid smooth beer.
