500ml Bottle - Copper red in colour. Smoky aroma with ash, bacon and raisins. Smoky and fruity taste with ash, raisins, berries and caramel. The aroma ia much more smoky than the taste. Easy to drink.

0,5 l "Euro Flasche" with a cheap looking old school label design. Pours out in a clear dark copper with an one finger head. Smokey malty smell. Taste starts with more smoke, malty backbone. Increasing chemical in the middle part. Some fruity elements in the background. Getting better after a few sips. Mid smokey to the end. Okay.

Tap at the brewery. Nice smoky aroma: Wood, light ham. Dark orange colour, golden cream - very pretty. Nice chewy malt body, light roast, good hop balance, moreish, great.

Hazy amber with little white head. Aroma is ham, caramel. Taste is butter, sugar sweetness and phenolic bitterness with some carbonation sourness. Full bodied and good to drink. Ok.

Tap. Amber color with white head. Aroma is slightly smoked. Taste is the same, with a nice smoked juicy malts feeling. Low carbonation, very nice! As the brewmaster says, between Schlenkerla and Spezial. This one is a very nice Smoked!

at a tasting, many thanks, very little head, clear light brown color, aroma of smoked meat with some charred notes, smoked meat flavor with charred wood and caramel, Mellow and highly enjoyable.

On tap @Ma che siete venuti a fà (Rome). Pours amber with a big white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, smoked meat, chimney. Flavour is medium sweet with smoked notes and a decent bitter end. Medium body, medium to light carbonation. Fantastic!

On tap @FrankenBierFest, la Limonaia di Villa Torlonia (Rome). Pours amber with a medium head. Flavour is smoked malt, bread, biscuit, grain, maize, hops. Flavour is delicate smoke, malt, low sweet leading to a bitter end, a bit watery, easy to drink and fresh, amazing! Light body, medium carbonation. Amazing brew!

(Gravicask at HBF2016) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had smoke, smoked ham and grilled sausage. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were smoke, grass, malts, grilled sausage and bitterness. Afteraste was smoky and bitter. A very smoky brew.

(Keg at Vagabund, Berlin, 20140419) The beer poured copper coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized, white and it lasted long. Aroma had caramel, smoke, malts and smoked ham. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, caramel, smoke, molasses, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had smoke, caramel and bitterness. A nice balanced smoked brew but a bit too sweet.

Tap at Gallow’s Bird, Espoo. Colour is clear copper with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Tar, smoke, syrup and malts. Nice light smoked beer.
