This is our Black Barleywine. Same base recipe as the wax can Omnipolloscope beer, but double oaked. 6 months in Willett bourbon barrels, then transferred to Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Barrels for an additional 7 months. And it’s wax dipped in glow in the dark wax!!!

Bottle, shared by John - thanks! Pours inky mahogany, minimal beige head, minimal lacing. Aroma is rich malty vanilla chocolate bourbon, rich, balanced. Flavor is way sweet, light bitter. Medium plus body.

Flaska från trade. Svart med brunbeige krona. Ganska anonym arom konstigt nog. Välrostat, sockersött, mycket fat och hetta, kolaremmar, Rom-dränkta russin, Katrinplommon. Konstigt nog mer välbalanserat (relativt sett) än ADWTDTO.

12.7 oz waxed. Aroma is coconut, wood, toffee, bourbon, chocolate, raisin, licorice. Pours very dark brown to black with a thin beige head that collapses into a ring quickly. Taste is highly sweet, never cloying, with some mild to moderate hop bitterness in the finish. Very smooth. Velvety mouthfeel. Alcohol hidden fairly well--tastes like it could be in the 10%-11% range. Very nice.

Waxed, capped 375 from Tavour. Pours very dark brown with a creamy dark tan head that quickly ran away. Aroma of smooth toasted/burnt malt with nice whisky and a touch of chocolate. Full bodied. Very full. It's not dry. Whiskey is in the foreground. Smooth burnt malt and chocolate follow quickly. Heat hovers in the background. Somewhat bitter. The whiskey makes every quaff amazingly tasty. Excellent.

Bottle. Pours near black with an earthy brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has bourbon and sweet dark grains with some vanilla and a bit of marshmallow supporting. Flavor combines bourbon, sweet dark grains, toffee and some marshmallow with a bit of roast supporting.
