previously tested on German BTO 10/2006: Gertrunken vom Fass direkt in der Brauereigaststätte in Irsee.

Draught. Sourish tobacco aroma. Cloudy brown colour, small head. Sweet flavour, hint of berries and some fresh, non-lit tobacco. Quite a good mix. For some reason I like the fruitiness in this.

Bottle. Infected or not, that’s the question...: Fruity, estery nose, a bit sourish, far away tinges of caramel and dark malt; cloudy, big off-whit fluffy head, quickly diminishing; sweetish-sourish flavour, fizzy mouthfeel; sweetish-fruity finish. No pleasure, deserves a second chance......

A hazy reddish beer with a thick brown head. The aroma is very sweet with strong notes of caramel, but also a light dusty hoppy note. The flavor is rather sweet again with strong notes of caramel, and this dusty hoppy note, leading to a dry sligtly roasted bitter end. The mouthfeel is a bit thin but also a bit sticky.

(bottle) Hazy copper colour with a medium-sized beige frothy head. Yeasty red-berries-fruity and malty aroma with a light toasted note and a tinge of caramel. Sweetbitter flavour, medium to light body, crispy carbonation. Fruity and malty, slightly yeasty taste; rather short, sweetbitter, slightly hoppy finish.

Bottled. Orange-brown with yeast particles floating around. Very sweet. Yeasty with clean mouthfeel and sugary finish.
