Clear ruby with almost no head. Aroma is brown sugar, caramel, nuts, some forest, pine cone. Taste is a combination of fruity sourness and phenolic, woody bitterness and a little malty sweetness. Nice mouthfeel of little bubbles, medium finish, full body. Not bad.

50cl bottle from a trade with Erzengel. Klare hell orange braune Farbe, geringe beige schaumkrone. Geruch nach rotem malz, Getreide, rote Früchte. Geschmack schwach malzig, rotes malz, uninteressant.

NRW-Flasche: Reddish to chestnut-amber coloured, a bit unclear, small to medium-sized off-white head; mild to moderate dryish caramelly-malty nose with delicate, but distinctive traces of toasted malt; mild - as well - bitter-sweet flavour with a slight (infectuous?) acidity, light to medium bodied, relatively soft; mainly dry fruity-malty finish. Not my favourite, but still quite well drinkable...

Bottle from the brewery. Great smooth malty caramel nose. Very smooth and mild. Red hints, moderate malty. Very soft and smoot, the body is fresh malty, nice caramel, not too sweetish. The aftertaste has a subtle bitterness there, round red fruity malt, smooth and very refreshing! Fantastic Ale!

(bottle) Slightly hazy, dark amber to brown colour with a beige and short foamy head. Slightly roasted malty, slightly melanoidinic, nutty aroma with notes of caramel, ashes. Mildly sweet flavour, rather light bodied with a calm, if not tame carbonation. Slim and slightly roasted dark malty taste with caramel, nutty notes, as well as a subtle fruity touch; dry and rather short-lived slightly sweet and delicately hop bitter finish. Not my cup of tea. 15.IX.16

0.5 l bottle from local ’trinkgut’, best before October 2016. Clear, dark reddish amber with a medium large, rather dense, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, red fruits and and some nuts. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity and a little roasty taste of caramel, red fruits and nuts, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a bit metallic finish. Thin to medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, above average carbonation. Decent beer.
