Crisp amber and copper coloured body with some light toffee coloured head, about a centimetre tall. Aroma of nuts, earth, caramel, toffee and some subdued hops. Light-bodied; Strong nutty flavour at first that gives way to some sweetness from malt and toffee with caramel and some metal on the finish. Aftertaste is crisp and very malty with only a bit of grain noticeable, some light nuts and a lot f earthiness. Overall, a decent amber ale, but who really likes these anyway - still, not a bad beer...but not really worth drinking. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle from Happy Hour (free) on the roof of my hotel in Lower Manhattan on 28-May-2016.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a caramel-brown color with a large foamy beige head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was malty, toasty and woody. The flavor was bitter and woody with sour caramel and toasty malts. Long dry and woody finish. Medium body. Meh.

New beer distributors, nyc twelve ounce: pours amber with white head. Aroma is caramel with hints of hop. This is a bit better than your standard amber ale, but as expected, it is nothing special.

Draught @ Albion. Clear dark amber with small creamy beige head, faint doughy aroma, medium carbonation, little caramel taste, abrupt finish. Nice and smooth, but also not very special.
