As much as we'd love to divulge more about Johann's Great Adventures, the truth is this variant was inspired by one fateful deep sea fishing adventure. One day, while vacationing in Key West, Andrew joined a group of strangers on an open charter deep sea fishing vessel. This day trip was BYOB and he opted to bring a nice cold, refreshing bottle of vanilla vodka and some cola to mix. As you can imagine, the combination of heat, sun and copious amounts of refreshing vanilla mixed drinks led the other members of the trip to sequester his crazy-ass in the hastily made brigg... mostly because of his constant and horrible referencing of Jaws! Anyways, Johann Needs a Bigger Broat is a Vanilla Bomb with hints of stone fruits and a dangerous appeal.

Thanks Drew!

Can to tulip.
Appearance: amber to orange cloudiness with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to barely leave any lace
Aroma: sweet oranges, light lemon sweet whiffs, big vanilla/lactose scents
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas in a pretty big sweet sort of way; finishes orangey with a ton of lactose
Texture: between light and medium bodied; sessionable - yes - odd for as big an ABV as it is, but yes, this is quite a drinkable beer! Some smoothness but also seemed like it was getting borderline watery, hmmmm...
Overall: I know I'd be slaughtered by the untappd junkies that bow down to "milkshake IPA's" as if milkshake IPA's are God's gifts to beers but I feel better about saying this here - if this is your beer goat then I feel sorry for your naivete to how vast the beer world truly is.

Pint can from Woodman's Appleton, 12/22/20. Murky orange, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of lactose and a bit of citrus. Kinda one note. Taste is lactose, vanilla, tropical fruit. Medium bodied. Not as sweet as feared, but also kinda nondescript. Not the best beer but if this is the style jumping the shark I welcome it.

4 oz. draft at EBF, 2019. Saturday night session. The flavor was vanilla, citrus orange, sugar. Absolutely insane amount of sugar. Almost like putting lactose directly on your tongue. The worst beer I’ve ever had from this brewery. Drain pour.
