Copper with medium beige head. Aroma is phenolic spices, rum, vanilla. Taste is spicy and umami, a bit sweetness and sourness as well. Too heavy for easy drinkability. Meh.

Sampled at BKL2017. Light sweaty/salty nose Cloudy Amber, white head Medium full, whiskey notes on a hoppy base, medium body, strongly carbonated, a bit muddled but overall very pleasant cork, grassy, earth, iodine, jam notes. Interesting

Brown body, with a medium, creamy, beige head.
Aroma of whiskey, wood, booze, dried fruits, chocolate, some stone fruits.
Tastes quite similar, with the whiskey also vety dominant.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes boozy, wooden, a bit sweet, with whiskey, some dried fruits.

Nice one, while not outstanding. The whiskey barrel is much too dominant, overlapping almost everything. Very boozy, too much for my liking, no IPA detectable at all. Still not bad overall, but this lacks direction in my opinion.

Tap. Hazy orange color with tan head. Aroma is wood sugar, vanilla, hops. Taste is wood, dusty, grassy hops, lots of wood. Medium carbonation. Boozy finish. Heavy on the barrel, but it works, the beer has enough power to take this much barrel.
