Hand pulled half pint in the Tiny Tavern, Lincoln on 29th November 2025. Dark brown body, beige crust. Malty and moody, some dark fruits and a hint of bitterness below the heavy malt bill.

440ml can bought at The Real Ale Store in Newark. Shared with Finn. Black-brownish body, remaining off-white head, lacing rings down the glass. Inviting aromas of roasted grainy malts, mid-sweet. Chocolate to the taste character, supported by liquorice. Plain roasted ending. Soft on the swallow. Medium bodied. Pleasing to a certain degree. (Hotel room in Nottingham 14.10.2022).

Delt med Rune på rom 301, Premier Inn Nottingham Arena. Ultramørkebrun. Klar. Høyt luftig skum med litt farge. Daler sakte og etterlater nydelig lacing. Aroma av krydder & sjokolade. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken karamell & lakris. Lett bitter avslutning.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Cambridge Wines. Pours deep brown with a tight, creamy tan head. Well, this is massively infected. Lightly sweet, loads of tangy berries, a little earthy bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. More tangy berries, tangy dark malts in the finish. Very poor. Shouldn’t have been released, shouldn’t be getting sold.

Cask at the Grantham Beer Festival 2021. Pours very dark brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toffee, biscuit. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, very soft carbonation. Traditional, tasty porter.

Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Dark brown bordering on black with a small off-white head. Chocolate, vanilla and a bit of coconut with some woody notes. Sweet taste with a bitter/sour finish. Light suggwstion of liquorice and coconut (not the best combination) All in all unbalanced and messy.
