pours orange-brown with an orange-brown head. strong full bodied malty aroma with a good layer of dead hops on top. Just as I prefer my barley wine. Fortunately this one is not *that* fresh hoppy, although they call it american. It does, actually, remind me of us barley wones as they were 10-15 yrs ago. Flavor is way malty, A little bit of light caramel, not much on the hop front, except perhaps rounding off the natural malty bitterness. I think i would like a little bit more bitterness towards the end. Overall a great barleywine and actually quite easy drinking despite the 10%.

Dark red amber with a small off-white head. Fruity aroma of apricot, plums and red apples with toffee and caramel, dark bread and a touch of spice. Sweet fruity flavour with a lot of malt, warm alcohol and a quite bitter finish.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Amber colour, small head. Aroma is caramel, floral and some toffee tones. Flavour is floral, caramelly in toffeeish tones and quite hoppy bitter. Nice splash between alcohol and the hops.

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen (18/12/2022) - amber pour with a off white head. Sweet and lightly toasted malty, with layers of toffee and caramel sweetness, lots of dried fruit shred, medium plus body, some nice spices into the malty warming bear hug of a finish. Lovely.

Can, 0.33l, shared with Ales. Aroma of resin, pine, citrus and dried fruit. Pours cloudy mahogany color with thin creamy tan-like head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts with light to medium sweet caramel and citrus, following is piney, herbal and floral, mouthfeel is smooth and mild spicy, while finish is heavy bitter. Full body, thick oily texture and lively carbonation in palate. Just excellent…

I agree with putrik…. So do I need to say anymore? Nobody will read this anyway.. But….this one is a really nice and tasty BW with a fine hop profile Clear nice deep golden pour and a fine off white head. Ok lacing Pleasant intensity in the aroma Balanced sweetness and bitterness Well masked alcohol level Toffee, fruity, malty, grapefruit hops, mild pine and some resinous notes in the flavor [Can from Ölstudion Nordstan in Göteborg, Sweden]

Can 33 cl. Pours a cloudy amber with an off-white head. Sophisticated, lightly citrusy aroma mixed with some caramel. Rich, caramel body, not overly sweet with a solid, bitter finish. A very well balanced and well crafted Barley Wine. 190622

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 26 Feb 2022) Dark amber colour with creamy, tan head. Malty nose with notes of caramel, treacle-toffee and orange peel. Malty taste with caramel, treacle-toffee, orange peel, raisins, dried figs and a generous resiny bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well made American style barley wine, with a certain hop bite. Very nice.
