A bracingly sour, bright gose with Vancouver Island sea salt, fresh lime zest and juice. Conditioned on Mezcal oak to suggest warm, Oaxacan beaches and salt-rimmed cocktail glasses with tiny umbrellas.

Can, courtesy of Sergey
Blond color, with minimal haze. Aroma of lemon and tequila. Strong tartness, then the lime, then the botanicals (tequila-like), then the salt. If there is any mezcal, it's well hidden.
Refreshing.

12oz (thx, Julia!) @ Alex's. Appearance: a bit hazy pale golden with a white head. Aroma: quite weird and artificial citruses. Taste: along the same lines, an artificial lime malty pop. Overall: not good.

355ml can. Pours a hazy blonde with a small, fizzy, short lived, white head that fully dissipates. Sweet aroma of grainy wheat malt, lime and saline solution. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy wheat malt, lime, yogurt and salt in a dry, tart finish. Light body with a syrupy texture and average carbonation. Not getting any mezcal, but it's a refreshing lime gose.

Okay gold body with bad foam. Smells of nice margarita character, more than mezcal anyway, a little sweet. Taste is good margarita notes, ending crisp. Not bad, working well for what it is but needs more mezcal character.

A hazed golden gose with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light lemon, light mezcal, light Epsom salts, very nice. In mouth, a nice tequila like beverage, with light lime and salt, pleasant. On tap at brewery.

473mL can, pours a hazy blonde with almost no head. Nose brings out lots of tangy citrus, yogurt, and salt. Flavour is very tangy and citric, with lots of salt, saline solution, yogurt and citrus. Salty and citric. Pleasant but too saline-dominated.

Can. Doesn't pour well - no head at all. Dull yellow colour. The aroma is all lime. On the palate, it's a sour beer with lime. A touch of salt in there as well, brightening the citrus. Not getting any mezcal character on this. FWIW on Oaxacan beaches you just end of drinking Victoria or Bohemia Clara like everybody else. Mezcal is for evenings in Oaxaca city or hipster bars in CDMX. I don't mind the beer, but the mezcal connection is a reach.

Poured from the tap. Slightly hazy gold with minimal white head. Lime and a touch of Mezcal. Not getting much if any salt. Slightly flat tasting.
