Nose is soy, tar, fruity orange, emergent cocoa. Taste is spicy rye, rich chocolate, woody, emergent orange which blends well, dark chocolate, alcohol with a pleasing orange and coffee finish. I absolutely adored this; the adjuncts were perfectly mixed for me. I had something very similar in a beer festival years ago from a local brewer and I've long been wanting the rye/porter/chocolate/orange experience again.

Bottle at home picked up from HOTM. A dark black brown coloured pour with a lasting creamy mid tan head. Aroma is woody roast, orange oil, cocoa, some hot alcohol, coconut, dark chocolate. Palate is semi sweet, oily, medium bodied, mellow carbonation. Flavour is composed of woody roast, bitter, light char, orange oil, cocoa, . Decent depth. Not bad.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Black. Cocoa, orange zest, chemical spiciness, sweet and sourish, a bit umami, licorice. Weird, not pleasant.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Dissipating, noisy, tan-coloured head, deep black body, scattered lacing. Cocoa and liquorice on the nose, hints of fruity. Mixed taste of dark malts, cocoa and liquorice, and ripe orange, slightly tart. Not that well balanced. Roasted malty ending, hints of fruity tartness. Quite alright, but far from great. Black beer, very thin head. Smells malty with a little cocoa. Flavour has lots of toasty malt, some rye, a little dark chocolate, just a dash of citrus in the back which is a nice addition. Smooth and rich with a toasty finish.

Keg draught at BrewDog Leicester. Very dark brown, barely translucent with a thin film of khaki/tan head. Getting the spicy/sourness of the rye with the scent of coffee and chocolate. Taste butter with more rye sliciness, there's no sweetness to cut through the intense flavours. While there's nothing wrong with the beer, I struggle to find it to my taste.
