11/III/22 - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte), shared @ home, BB: 25/VI/26 (2022-251)
Pretty cloudy dark brown beer, lots of beige specks floating around, a small creamy beige head, unstable, falls down quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: lots and lots of coffee, more coffee, very roasted, more coffee, all green coffee, not much else. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: good roast, lots of coffee, some vanilla, pretty bitter, more coffee. Aftertaste: cocoa powder, coffee, roasted, more coffee, pretty bitter.

Pitch black colour, brown foam. Full body, thick mouthfeel. Nose of coffee, roasted malts, melasse. Very well balanced. Great coffee porter! Reminds me of the Beer Geek Brunch Weasel serie from Mikkeller a long time ago.

21 August 2021. At Gents Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke, Kevin, Jerre & the Ghent beer crew! Hazy black, thin, beige head. Aroma of pine, coffee bean, espresso, toast, dried fig, chestnut. Taste has sweetish prune & fig, lots of coffee bitterness ensuing in a toasty & nutty malt profile, bit creamy. Earthy hoppy finish, lots of coffee, dash of cream, dried fruit, toasted nuts & warming brandy alcohol. Medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Very warming coffee character, enjoyable.
