Bottle from Brew Cavern, Nottingham. Aroma combines spice and sherbert with underlying earthy fruitiness. Clear gold. Thin white head skims the surface. Medium sour. A dry sherbert sourness with added spice. Underlying vinous streak and light fruit. Light bodied. Thin if slick. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. A light refreshing Saison.

Another 375ml bottle tried Dec 21. Much nicer this time. I expect the cork was damaged on the last bottle, hence the oxidisation. Still doesn't taste too fresh, but not oxidised. Lightly sweet saison nuances, really pleasant though nothing too complex. Up-rated slightly. 375ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Aug 21. Brought by me. Pours a pale blonde, white head. Unfortunately this was clearly past its best and starting to oxidise. Bottled two years ago, would've expected it to last a bit longer. Unfair to write any more. Hopefully if I return to Hood River I'll try it fresh at the source. Rated kindly.

9th August 2021: Shrewsbury Gathering at Chez Sophie. Five likely lads sharing beers. Cheers Mat for the cork and caged 375ml bottle (bottled 25th June 2019). Very pale, straw blonde body, wispy white head. A little disappointed with this to be honest, light floral notes in the nose and taste, but lacked a true Farmhouse funkiness or depth of flavours. Just seemed a bit 'tame'.

(Bottle, 0.375 l - bottled on 25.06.2019, at Panema Kallio, 20210424) The beer poured pale golden and clear. Its head was quite large, white and it lasted long. Aroma had spiciness, earth, Belgian style yeast and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were Belgian style yeast, fruitiness, earth, spiciness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had Belgian style yeast, fruitiness and bitterness. A tasty brew with clean Belgian style notes.
