Cask at Head of Steam, Brum. Amber gold. Thin white head. Light malts with vague fruit. Light. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. Not great.

Cask at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. My notes were drying up by this point in my session. I have that it was easy drinking, reasonably hoppy, citric and grassy, touch of grapefruit. A bit dull but goes down easily.

Gravity cask at Clacton-on-Sea CAMRA Beer Festival 2024. Pours light hazed gold with beige foam. Aroma: sweet malts, floral, fragrant, citrus. Taste: near moderate sweet & bitter, floral hop semi-dry finish. Tidy flavours for the ABV, just shows that sub 4% golden beers aren't all as dull as ditchwater.

Cask at Shrewsbury Arms, Stafford. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a small off-white head. There’s an unusual aroma of candy and passion fruit with hints of citrus too. In the mouth it starts off sweet and juicy, but tangy bitterness quickly becomes evident. With floral hops and summer fruits. Later citrus increases the fruitiness with plenty of lime in evidence. Finish is quite bitter, dry and slightly sticky. This is pleasant and interesting – certainly plenty of flavour for the strength.

Nicely presented golden ale with a frothy white head and a soft aroma of light malt. Creamy and bsicuity, with a touch of honey sweetness followed by soft bitterness into the finish

Cask at GBBF '22 day 1, 02/08/22. Clear golden with a decent white cap. Nose is grassy, pale malts, melon, faint citric zest. Taste comprises airy malts, tangerine, grass, grains, light breads. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Rather pedestrian to bill itself as any form of IPA, session or otherwise!

25/6/2022. Bottle from the brewery direct, shared at the Gorzow GP beer share. Pours clear bright golden amber with a frothy white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, butter, veg, starch, potato. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, watery and slightly oily, average carbonation. Looked good, but didn’t enjoy this much.
