A traditional, easy drinking Yorkshire Bitter, made from all British ingredients. Pale copper in colour, this beer initially has sweet malt and honey on the palate, followed by a moderately bitter finish. The delicate hop aromas can be described as floral and spicy.

Initially brewed at Riverhead as Riverhead Butterley Bitter, since 2021 brewed at Ossett under their own brand, with the same recipe.

Cask as Boatland Bitter. A dark golden beer with a dense orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt as well as lighter notes of sulphur. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt as well as lighter notes of caramel and straw, leading to a lightly bitter finish. The mouthfeel is smooth.

Cask. I took this down as "Boatland Bitter" but guess it’s this one. Slightly hazy pale amber with a creamy off-white head. A little fruit and butter in the nose. Thin and watery with lots of caramel and fruit with a subdued bitterness. 190110
