Stormstay is Hanlon’s premium bitter. A strong amber ale,surprisingly smooth with hints of toffee and citrus.
Dark amber to copper in colour with a toffee and floral hop nose and hints of tangerine. Malt caramel and biscuit nestle with the three aroma hops, Phoenix, Styrian Goldings and Cascade. Late hopping with citrusy Cascade cuts through the alcohol sweetness.
Stormstay has won may awards including the prestigious Champion Beer of Britain Silver award.

Bottle. Dark brown beer with a very strong thick white head. The aroma is dry, roasted, and hopped with a malty tone. The flavour is quite bitter with a long sweet and hopped finish. Overall a nice bitter.

(Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, nutty nose with dried apricots, caramel and earthy hops. Malty taste with notes of dried fruit, caramel a touch of citrus and a fairly short finish with earthy hops. Medium body, some sweetness shining through. A decent bitter in good balance.

Cask-conditioned at the Market Porter, Southwark 14/01/10. Deep amber with a moderate, off-white head. Sweet, buttery aroma. Flavour was very sweet, with butterscotch dominating all else except a slight touch of spice in the finish. Unpleasant.

Cask @ Market Porter, Southwark, London SE1. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with some hoppy hints. Fruity malty caramel flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty caramel finish with some hoppy hints in the aftertaste.

cask, charlies bar, cph. clear red/brown, small fluffy head. sweet malty slightly flowery aroma, some hops. flavor is flowery hoppy and fruity, mild sweet malts, sort of a mild ipa english style. real nice.
