Flaska från Saveur-bier. En stor söt BW med förvånandsvärt lite humle för att kallas american. Istället blommiga godissmaker, viol, pastill, syltade apelsinskal, agave/kaktus, nektar. Mjuk och rund, ingen alkhol som sticker ut. Riktigt gott.

Bottle 750ml. corked @ home. [ As Les Trois Mousquetaires G.C. Barleywine Americain ].Clear medium to dark orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, flowers, fruity, dried fruit. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity hops, flowers, alcohol, soft malt, sweet malt, sweet fruit, riped fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20141018]

750ml bottle. Cloudy, amber colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish malty aroma, a bulk of caramel, burdened with resin notes, interspersed with citrusy hoppy pinpricks. Taste is very sweet, delivers identical flavours, a good deal alcohol amplifies the heavy character; sweetish, sticky palate. The "quantité déraisonnable" is at risk to become a "quantité négligeable", barely keeping the whole thing in balance.

Bottle @ SBWF 2014. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel and weak dark fruit aroma. Sweetish malty spicy caramel and dark fruit flavor. Has a sweetish malty spicy caramel and dark fruit finish.

Bottled at SBWF. Clear amber, small head. Concentrated vinus nose with dates and sherry. Sweet with full body and soft mouthfeel. Rich sherryish mature malt character. Warming finish. Beautiful barley wine!

Bottled@SBWF2014. Orangeish amber colour, small white head. Aroma is glue, some fruits, alcohol and mild cheesy notes. Flavou ris sweet malts, fruity, floral and nectary with some alcohol and mild gluelike sweetness.

750ml bottle via trade a while back. Pours a garnet amber with some lacing, sticky, white head. Nose has a mix of caramel, malt, some dark fruit, sort of like dried apple slices, some brown sugar too, root veg, orange, and pine. Flavor blends those elements poorly, piney with that sticky type of bitterness, almost like fresh rosemary, the malt backbone is big, caramel, roasted parsnip, raisins, dried fruit. Incredibly boozy and overly sweet. Smells like it could be a winner. Maybe it needs lots of time in the bottle.
