Nouveau brassin qui me semble vraiment plus malté qu’auparavant... La première gorgée me donne l’impression d’herbe sucrée. Au nez, le foin, le grain et la vanille dominent. C’est très différent comme brassin mais la note est la même.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out sugary notes, big resinous hops, and a big whopping caramel malt backbone. Flavour is super sugary, with huge resinous hops, and just enough caramel malt. This is an extremely sugary barley wine that somehow maintains high enough drinkability to remain enjoyable. But this is far from elegant.

C&C 750 mL bottle shared by Kinz at the 20th Ratebeer Gathering. Pours a hazy copper color with not much of a head. Big citrus and spicy hops in the aroma. Some maltiness but the hops dominate. The taste is toffee, brown sugar, resin and citrus hops. Medium bodied, slight booze.

Bouteille 750ml. De couleur ambrée-orangée et voilée. Nez de malt sucré aux faibles notes rôties, de caramel sucré, de houblon fruité (agrumes, marmelade, notes d’abricots), citrique, moyennement résineux et légèrement herbeux avec des traces boisées et de toffee. Ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen-doux ainsi qu’une texture huileuse et aux notes résineuses. Goût moyennement amer de houblon fruité (marmelade, moyen d’agrumes, notes d’abricots), moyennement citrique, légèrement résineux et herbeux (une amertume présente en bouche toute la gorgée) accompagné de faibles traces boisées lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute très rapidement un goût de caramel toffee assez sucré et aux faibles notes rôties avec un léger goût de biscuits ainsi que des notes de sucre brun et de butterscotch puis en finale l’amertume reprend de l’ampleur en se faisant plus résineuse et plus herbeuse tout en étant accompagné de notes d’alcool réchauffantes. Post-goût long-moyen, moyennement amer de houblon fruité (marmelade), moyennement citrique, résineux et herbeux avec un résiduel assez sucré de malt (caramel bien présent) ainsi que des notes d’alcool.
