a nose of rich tropical fruit, brown sugar, grass with a lively white head. The 2016 version is less of a European take on the barleywine model than the 2014 - a nice range of tropical and citrus fruit, grassy hops, significant sugar, but balance in large part by grapefruit hops (not always the case in central and southern European variations !). apricots, grapes and berries round out a very complex and well integrated offering. Unusual but very enjoyable.

Dark bronze pour, small beige head. Very fruity aroma, lots of dark stone fruit. Very sweet, cloyingly so. Sweet boozy malts, notes of sherry, and booze soaked bread. This isnt my bag,

Hatalmas, örökké tartó, bézs hab, vörösesbarna szín. Savanykás, karamelles, gabonás, némileg fűszeres illat. Enyhén savanykás, karamelles , malátás ízvilág, markáns fűszeres aromákkal. Testes, közepesen szénsavas, enyhén keserű. Fura kombináció és nem is igazán ízlik.

Tap at Erzbierschof Zurich. Nose is odd. A bit of dish water, wtf? Some nuts and caramel too. Heavy body with a hint of booze and a tad of carbonation. Intense flavours both on tongue and palate. Well balanced, long finish. Besides the nose very good.

From tap. Pours hazy amber with an off white head. Aroma is toasted malty. Slight caramelish. Sweet, caramelish and toasted malty. Dry, bitter and mild herbal. Dry and solid hoppy finish. Dry and toasted finish.

Another traveller from Montreal. Lovely rosy brown colour with a layer of white head. Lots of caramel malt nose with caramel sweetness, with some resin hops. Taste similar with a rich malt profile with a solid sweetness which is balanced with a resin hops that transitions into a bitter finish. Excellent.

Anaranjada oscura casi sin espuma. Aroma licórico, algo herbal y frutal. En boca buen cuerpo y final bastante amargo. Sabrosa realmente con un tono licórico, base acaramelada y toques verbales. Predominio dulce. Se disfruta cada trago.

Ölföreningen 2015. Smak och doft av tallbarr, honung, blommor, viol, mandelmassa, nektar. Oljig, rund och len, stor sötma, fin beska. Gott!
