A well rounded Brown ale showcasing lightly roasted Guatemalan coffee. These beans were hand-picked for their notes of rounded caramel sweetness which sits perfectly with rich chocolate and crystal malts. Expect a smooth, malty beer balanced with fresh coffee and a hint of vanilla on the finish.

330ml bottle: BB 14th Jan 2020. Poured into a Chimay chalice at home on 17th Apr 2019. Tanned head that soon became a wisp and collar, the body a deep ruby/dark brown affair. Aroma holds malty coffee esters and some chocolate notes. The taste is also coffee and chocolate flavoured, some vanilla sneaking in too; nice.

[33cl bottle from the Beer52 box for March.] A glossy dark mahogany pour with a beige head; an odd sour grain aroma; smooth with a sweet malty body and some vanilla; then a drier finish with some coffee grounds.

Dark brown beer, smells of malty caramel. Flavour is lovely. Malt, caramel, quite biscuity. Not a lot else but it's very drinkable.Something a little buttserscotchy in there too.
