Cask at Prince Arthur, Fleet. Clear copper gold. Thin foamy white head. Aroma has light citrus, caramel and malts. Flavourwise we have light resin, spice, and then chewy malts and caramel. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. OK

First Christmas themed beer of the season, it has to happen eventually! Clear deeper golden in colour, has a bitterness that impacts its hoppy taste, although not a too stated one The sum of parts come across quite plain. Looks good though.

Pours a clear golden colour with a small thin frothy white head. The aroma is biscuity malts with lemony and floral notes. A moderately sweet and bitter taste, sweet biscuity malts, citrusy lemon flavours and a robust, grassy hop bitter finish.

Cask at the Last Post, Southend on 8th December 2023. Almost clear gold with shallow but lasting whitish foam and full lacing. Hoppy aroma. Zesty and bitter in-mouth, with a satisfying bitter citrus and grass finish. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Absolutely exquisite. Possibly the best ale I’ve consumed in a Wetherspoons, and among the best I’ve had this year.
