Bottle from the Food Shop in Dartington. Appearance - deep amber with a nicely proportioned off white head. Nose - hobnob and fruitcake. Taste - raisin, brown bread and tangy green apple. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - decent.

Cask at Bay Horse Inn, Totnes. Low key malty aroma. Dark amber-brown. Frothy off-white head. A low key mix of malts and boiled veg with some caramel sweetness. Gets more sugary into the finish. Light bodied. Thin with some slickness. Lazy average carbonation. Abrupt finish. Yes it is seasonable. I like it more than I want to. Has a cheekiness that keeps it from being bland.

14th July 2018. 500ml bottle conditioned, from Hops and Craft, Exeter; BB 12th Nov 2018. Poured slowly (twice) into a tall 'Adnams' badged glass at my brothers place down in Devon. Slight haze to the golden/amber body, smooth and lasting white crown. Malty nose and initial taste, hops kick in mid-sip, mild nutty flavours, semi-sweet overall, liked it.

Chelmsford Summer Beer Fest. Cask. Almost clear amber beer, residual bubbly pale tan head. Palate is smooth and light. Modest fine carbonation. Tangy caramel malts, getting on for sourish. Light citric bitterness. Little lactose. Light semi dry finish. Over tangy.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2014. Clear mid brown lasting off white head. Lime and Grapefruit with a little dry maltiness. Not sure it all works. A little sourness on the finish. Ok just.
