10th Jan 2018; part of a four beer Flight at the brewery. Nice brown body, slight red hue when held up to the light, on top an off-white blanket of tight bubbles. Malts all the way here, caramel and toffee flavours in the nose and taste, light bitterness in the finish.

4 oz taster at Artifex Brewing Company in San Clemente, California. The pour is clear reddish golden, with a smallish light tan head. The aroma is toasted malt, caramel and a bit of grass. The taste is the caramel, the toasted malt and a bit of fruit sweetness towards the back. The palate is medium to light bodied with active natural carbonation and a sweet, dry floral finish. Nice Irish Ale.
