Cask-conditioned at the bank Tavern, Bristol 18/7/2018. Amber in colour, with a moderately-sized, off-white, head. Malty best bitter, with some caramel, ripe malts, touch of leafy hop and pleasantly bitter finish. Fine.

Cask half-pint at The Beer Cellar, Exeter on 11th Nov 2017. Amber bodied beer, off-white crown. Malty and semi-sweet, with caramel and toffee notes to the fore in both the nose and taste. Hops in the mix too, but subdued by the maltiness.

On cask at Beer Cellar Exeter pours a clear, dark orange/amber with some creamy, white head. Nose has lots of malt, sugar, butterscotch, toffee. Simple. Flavor is very sweet, malt, toffee, some black tea here, a little balancing citrus, a little butter finally. Finishes sweet and oily. Ah, not my thing.

Cask at Grape & Grain, Crystal Palace. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is sweet, malt-driven, toasty grainy, biscuit, cereal, porridge, honey and earth. The taste is smooth, bitter-sweet, biscuit malt, toasty grain, honey, caramel, stone fruits and cereal with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. A fairly basic bitter.
