Crisp, dry, almost puckery, and undeniably satisfying. Mission St. Gose (pronounced "go-zuh") is fermented in the traditional style, using mild hops, bold spices, and slightly salted water. The result is a uniquely refreshing beer with equal elements of sour spiciness and wheaty fruit, mellowed by an enticing blend of coriander and salty sea-breeze aromas.

Bottle. A- Coriander, salty. A- Orange color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Coriander, salty, tart, wheat, lemon. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, refreshing finish. O- Wow, my first time in a TJ’s and I never knew they had private label stuff. They do a good job working with brewers because this is awesome, especially for $2.50 a bomber. Hell, this beer with a Mikkeller label would’ve cost be $15. Really refreshing. Like a tart witbier. I think this beer has made me realize I underrate goses and they all should be .2-.4 higher than I give them.

650ml bottle while watching the 51st Super Bowl at a Patriots party in Los Angles on 5th Feb 2017. Hazy light golden body, head not interested, just a small wisp and collar. Sour from the off and very salty with a trace of spiciness within both the aroma and taste. Not a huge fan of Gose, but I bought this because it was a sensible price and I am glad I did.

22oz bottle from my local Trader Joe’s. Poured a light cloudy yellow-orange color with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma was light sea salt, with some very light malty grain. Flavor was light malts, with some light salt finish with a touch of flowers. Really decent price point.

Bottle from Trader Joe’s. It pours a pale golden color with a small white head. The aroma is grainy with hay and coriander. The flavor has wheat, hay, mild coriander and hints of salt. Very light tartness. Little phenol bitterness. Very grainy and bitter/phenolic in the finish. Not very good.

Bomber from the Davis, CA Trader Joe’s. Pours translucent light gold with a white head. Aroma of coriander and maybe a touch of salt water. Maybe. There’s a post inhale tingle that suggests salt. Med minus body. Flavor is fairly salty. Seems wheaty. Coriander? There’s something herb like that could be. Actually it has a better flavor than what I can write down. Salt helps I think. Pretty dry and maybe bitter - tho the salt confuses me there.
