We settled down for a serious discussion to consider the merits or otherwise of our particular approach to beer branding. To lubricate the proceedings we decided to open a few bottles of our famous ales. The conversation turned from serious to raucous, and from business, to fast cars, loose women, and beer......So we brewed this.

500ml bottle: BBD Oct 2017 (part of a three bottle gift of different beers): poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on 22nd Dec 2016. Light amber/orange colour, clean. clear and bright: the head was white but soon just a wisp and collar. Caramel notes just about rule the nose and taste with barley sugar being a close contender: there is also a bitterness that tries to level out the sweetness (fails but tries). Gimmick Christmas beer really, treated as such it’s not a problem, but do not expect a classic or world beater of a beer tp come out of the bottle. my sweet tooth almost liked it!

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden with a fluffy head that disappears quickly. Nose - lemon and a touch of herb. Taste - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Perhaps a little sweet but could be worse. Palate - Overall - solid enough.

500ml bottle from the brewery online shop. Last one! Pours clear gold, with a rocky white head. Aromas are sweet sugar, usual lemon they all have. Taste is sweet. Soapy, again. Poor.

Hazy gold beer, residual white head. Light dry palate, crisp. Dry pale malt, slightly powdery. Bitter citrus, touch of soap. Bitter aftertaste. Not good.
