On 23rd May 2016 I visited the Rancho Santa Margarita home of Cismontane Brewing and had a very pleasant flight of six beers, this year old beer being one of them. Clear golden pour, with a decent white head. Yeast and citrus notes in the nose, these follow on into the taste along with a grainy flavour. Refreshing and almost tart in nature, a very drinkable Saison.

Sample at Tony’s Darts Away. Hazy straw-gold color with a medium white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of citrus, grainy malt and earthy yeast. The finish is sweet with a malt and fruity yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

Tap. Pours hazy golden, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is pepper, field grass, apples. Flavor is pretty sweet, boozy, apples, grass, pepper, honey. Medium body, lingering bitterness. Meh.
