Savoy Hill, the main service entrance for the Welbeck Abbey, was named so because it once resembled the stunning entrance to the grand Savoy Hotel in London. Now it’s unfortunately lost many of the original glasswork and tiling but the name remains. This beer should be no less spectacular than the entrance, being filled with the mouth-wateringly fresh aromas of pear, orange and passion fruit.

Cask half-pint in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates Shropshire on 17th March 2016. Light amber pour, white head with lacing. Slightly more malty than hoppy with a mild fruitiness within the flavour: decent and simple.

Cask at Merton Beer Festival, Friday, 26th February 2016 This looks good, light amber in colour with a small bubbly white head, clear as a bell. Easy drinking fruity beer, a touch simplistic perhaps, it’s popular, however I think that it is fine, nothing more nothing less. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov12 3.2

Cask gravity at Merton Winter BF 2016. Clear deep gold lasting white head. Bitter tasting. Some hop. Some white stone fruit. Tasty enough. Some bitterness on the finish. Good.
