A California Common or Steam Beer, which is brewed with ale malt and then fermented with a German lager yeast, gives this beer a robust malty character, enhanced by citrus, spicy, herbal aromas from a blend of German and Us hops.

13th June 2015: cask half-pint in The Station, Oakengates. Golden pour with a snowy white blanket on top, good lacing too. Mild fruity aroma and taste, mixed bag with no one fruit dominating the flavour or nose. Semi-sweet in nature and an easy drinking beer that will not really test your senses to greatly.

Cask @ White Hart, Todmorden. Bright amber-gold and not much head. Has a soapy aroma and strong in its malts giving it a heavier than normal taste for a bitter.
